OK, so why would you want to do this in the first place? Internet marketers think they can sell their stuff to people around the world. People who market to Internet marketers use this ploy to justify the cost of the products they sell. What a bunch of baloney. This kind of thinking by normal people causes them to lose their focus - their best prospects are most likely to be people within 50 miles of them.

So, how can having your web site translated into 8 languages help you make more money doing what you’re already doing?

Let’s assume you spend $100 on the software script and have it installed on your company’s web site by someone in your IT department or by a 9th grader. Actually the neighbor kid who installed it on our web site was going into the 10th grade at the time.

Now your web site has a line of flags across the bottom your home page. That’s it for you. The next time the search engine indexing spiders come along they’ll recognize the new code and begin to (magically I suppose) translate your pages. You won’t really see this unless you look at your web site’s logs, or unless you click on one of those flags.

OK, so where’s the benefit in all this.

Let’s say you have a company in Columbus Georgia that makes door handles. A Japanese engineer for Toyota in Tennessee is searching for door handles using a Japanese language search engine. Imagine the possibilities.

Or, let’s say you are an importer of plastic toys and your pages have been translated into Chinese and indexed by the Chinese language search engines.

Think about it. Is there any value to you of having your web site available to Internet searchers in Arabic, Spanish, German etc. etc.?

Oh yes, the software is actually considerably less than a hundred dollars. And don’t be put off by the hype style of the web site’s message. Internet marketers seem to think that the only people who are attracted to their products are Internet marketers like them. They all love this hype stuff.

See if you can overlook the hype language and the reference to AdSense marketing. Just think about the value of being able to sell what you already sell to someone more comfortable in a language other than English.

Or the value of finding suppliers you had no way of knowing existed, because they are in a small village nestled in the Italian Alps or someplace.
