Wayne D. Messick...
strategic conversations

Wayne Messick, business to business CEO peer group facilitator and business coach

There are dozens of d-i-y (do-it-yourself) programs on Television these days.

From decorating your house to how to sell it, from fishing like a pro to re-wiring your car, from finding value in your attic and selling it, to picking bargains at a "yard sale" for resale at an auction - the list goes on and on.

Just when you think they've covered every possible scenario another show pops up demonstrating how we can do it, whatever it is, ourselves.

Do you ever wonder why these programs are so popular?

I think it's because each TV program has its resident expert/coach whose knowledge and experience helps regular people like us see things differently - opening our eyes to new alternatives and proposing actionable strategies.

How many times have you seen these experts demonstrate how easily something can be done, with a little insight and the right tools?

They help use see the possibilities, recognize options we didn't know existed, and they give us confidence to take action.

After all, they are right there with us in case we screw up. Sort of like when we were learning to ride a bike - they're the person running along side of us, just in case.

I recognized that I was just such a person - someone with knowledge and experience - who runs along side. Using that approach I help successful family businesses develop an atmosphere of shared goals and address the challenges characteristically faced when they are planning for the future of their operation.

The most successful business owners are those who regularly tap into the knowledge and experience of their peers. Often these unstructured conversations are simply an extension of a discussion they've been having at a recent trade association event.

For over a decade I watched these do-it-yourself strategic planning (Strategic Conversations) groups develop and saw their members flourish. I saw succession strategies unfold, marketing plans implemented, and leadership development programs take shape - with very little input from outside experts.

These business owners were just making up the process as they went along. How much more effective could they be if they had a tried and true road map for developing and managing their peer group process to follow? What if they had the same tools and resources the experts use?

So I created a report that details how to create and manage a 21st. Century Peer Group process for succession planning, strategic planning, leadership development and every other strategy for growing your business.

The report contains the same tools and strategies I am using as a professional CEO peer group facilitator and coach. It includes all of the same resources, without the cost and without the middleman.

The report and follow up resources are cheap. The value, for those of you willing to do the work - with a little help from your friends, is priceless!

Before you leave my web site I hope you'll investigate the do-it-yourself Strategic Planning report and tell your colleagues about it.

All the best!
